Do you want to design and build cutting edge cloud-native cybersecurity capabilities on our Azure hyperscale cloud stack to meet the unique needs and missions of the US Federal Government, DoD, Intelligence Community?Microsoft's Azure Cybersecurity Engineers develop the next-generation cloud-native cybersecurity technologies that change how billions of people connect, explore, and interact with cybersecurity data and one another. Our cybersecurity products handle mission-critical information at massive scale to the tactical edge. We're looking for cybersecurity engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas of the cybersecurity lifecycle (protect, detect, response recover).ResponsibilitiesAs an Azure Cybersecurity Engineer, you will focus on designing and building cloud-native cybersecurity capabilities to protect US Federal Government, DoD, and IC mission critical workloads in our unclassified and classified hyperscale cloud, including: modern Zero trust cloud hardening, rapid user-friendly cybersecurity compliance, SIEM and SOAR capabilities for IoT to the tactical edge; the list goes on and is growing every day. In this role, you will work on engineering projects critical to the needs of our US Federal, DoD, and IC customers with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grows and evolves. We need our cybersecurity engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full Azure US sovereign cloud full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. We build the cybersecurity technologies that transform the way we think about cybersecurity mitigations.QualificationsRequired QualificationsMinimum 10 years hands on technical experience in implementing mitigations across the cybersecurity lifecycle (Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover) with large and complex commercial and public sector customersDeep hands on technical experience deploying Cloud solutions for Fortune 500 corporations and/or US Federal Government customers - Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCPStrong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain relationships with C-level stakeholdersAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred QualificationsDeep hands on technical experience working with DoD and IC infrastructure securityDemonstrated ability to identify scope, develop technical architecture and execute proof of concepts for new cybersecurity capabilitiesExtraordinary communication, team building, and mentoring skills Ability to provide direction and collaborate with multiple teams and business units to develop cybersecurity complete short suspense or crisis cybersecurity situationsAbility to react dynamically and provide thought leadership in challenging situationsSolid project management and leadership skills delivering engineering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer delight Work with customers to design, architect, and prototype cybersecurity solutions to address novel problems pushing Azure's boundaries and to identify product changes to democratize these patterns for our wider customer base.
