As a Scrum Master and Sr. Project Planner on the GEICO IT Squad, you will serve a scrum team working on our Data Consumption initiatives in the Decision Sciences and Transformation (DSaT) department.Basic Qualifications:3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master, project manager, or product owner on technical projects (Software Development, DevOps, or Big Data)Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to processes and projectsStrong understanding of how to maintain a groomed backlog with multiple sprints plannedAbility to manage work in a highly technical, changing environmentExperience managing work and dependencies across multiple departmentsExperience creating detailed project plans and estimates for projects and tracking resultsExcellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences. Ability to communicate requests from non-technical audiences to a technical team.Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skillsOutstanding time management skills and attention to detailAbility to thrive while working on ambiguous or challenging projectsPreferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of Big Data and the Hadoop EcosystemWorking knowledge of data mapping, data profiling, or SQLExperience with JIRA and ConfluenceAgile Certifications (CSM, PSM, CSPO, etc.) are a plusPMI-ACP or PMP are a huge plusNote: The safety of our associates, both current and future, is GEICO's highest priority.
