Job Description - Agile Project Manager (ATE0005CS)Job Description Agile Project Manager - (ATE0005CS)Description Jacobs has an opening for an Agile Project Manager for the Alexandria, VA office. Duties will include:Manage new development and O&M geared towards transitioning legacy technologies/functions to new modernized solutions. Experience managing software development tasks and will be responsible for oversight of all deliverables on the project Qualifications IT Project Manager with experience in full life-cycle software development following Agile processes.Proven experience initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering IT projectsAbility to collaborate with Product Owners, Business Partners, developers and Architects to build and define the Product Backlogs and complete release planningExperience reviewing story analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and the impact to other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams have been outlined. Has managed the evolution of the User Story and other backlog items (includes but not limited to breaking down the stories, eliciting conversations, facilitating story refinement sessions) Ability to answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification/direction to development, test, and support teams regarding user stories and functionsExperience with Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies: managing and facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, mid- sprint reviews, sprint demos, retros, etc. Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workgroups Experience working with teams to decentralize decision-making, but acts as an escalation point when consensus decisions cannot be reached Business Analyst experience in requirements gathering, development of wireframes, user stories and acceptance criteriaDesired QualificationsExcellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and Customer relationship management4 - 6 years of IT work experience, eg, business analysis or development2 - 4 years of professional experience as a Scrum Master2+ years project management experienceJIRA and Confluence expertiseEssential Functions:Physical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.Other Essential Functions:Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed.
