Job Description - DevSec Ops (FED000060)Job Description DevSec Ops - (FED000060)Description Jacobs is seeking DevSec Ops in Alexandria, VA. Duties will include:*This position is contingent upon funding.*Almost every aspect of Agile software development is affected by DevSecOps making it absolutely critical that the DevSecOps team be an enabler for better software developmentThis position must understand that traditional management practices that prescribe increasing team size to address increased workload will not work. The DevSecOps team must champion the notion of "Automate Everything" and empower development teams to take ownership of their own automation (eg build processes, testing) freeing time to build the capabilities of the future in support of the client's modernization agenda. Will be the Project Manager for the DevSecOps team responsible for providing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD), Test Automation, Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (Iaac) process definition and enforcementSet priorities and milestones for all project activities and resourcesProactively collaborate with multiple project teamsSeek opportunities to implement improvements and efficiencies with internal team and program-level processesProvide leadership, direction and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and supportAggressively manage risks/issues and mitigation efforts as appropriateUse innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologiesGrow a high performing team through effective leadership and resource managementSupervise analytical consultative services required to administer programs throughout all phases of business requirements analysis, software design, system and performance testing, and implementationReview analysis of budget, schedule, and other program resourcesSupervise multiple analysis sessions to gather program requirementsReview the business and system, software and system integration requirements to ensure the requirements meet the program needsConsider alternatives and develop recommendationsIdentify, communicate and resolve risksIdentify and resolve issues to eliminate or mitigate the occurrence of consequences that may impact the success of the project Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 8 Years of IT experienceMinimum 5 Years of Project Management experienceMinimum 3 Years of DevSecOps experienceProven experience initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering IT programs independently Significant experience managing in an environment with changing business conditions, technology and system changesExperience developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraintsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and customer relationship managementExperience in CI/CD (eg Jenkins), Configuration Management (Subversion, Git, BitBucket), Infrastructure as Code, Automated Testing (Selenium, JMeter), Software Build/Release Management, and Orchestration (eg , , AWS CloudFormation, AWS EKS, or AWS ECS)Knowledge of testing methodologies and the software development life cycleExperience managing Agile development teams that support both new development and support issuesMust be able to set the long-term strategy and roadmap to DevSecOps platform standardization, modernization, and process/tool adoption in support of 25+ software development teamsShow proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders with potentially competing priorities Proven experience in full life-cycle software development, and infrastructure supportShould have experience planning, coordinating and sequencing IT delivery tasks, as well as managing a number of complex and integrated IT work streamsMust have strong client management skills and the ability to build relationships with other contracting teams across Applications, Infrastructure and SecurityDesired Requirements:Web services (REST)Test-driven developmentJava EE application servers (ie WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss)Static code analysis (SonarQube)Source control management systems (ie GIT, Subversion)Build & dependency management (Maven, Sonatype Nexus)Unit, integration and functional testing tools (JUnit, Selenium)Build automation tools (Jenkins) Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Zephyr)Security scanning tools (Twistlock, OWASP ZAP)Essential Job FunctionsWork Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Physical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.Equipment and Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.Other Essential Functions:Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
