As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will serves as the Deputy Division Director for the Division of Eligibility Support within the Marketplace Eligibility and Enrollment Group (MEEG).ResponsibilitiesThe Division is part of the group that is responsible for conducting policy analysis and program operations related to the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for coverage through the Marketplaces, and to eligibility for financial assistance.Shares fully in the management of all work in the Division. In addition, the incumbent acts with total authority over ES during the Director's absence or inaccessibility.Works closely with the ES Director in leading and managing of the Division's work to ensure that eligibility verifications are appropriately adjudicated for Marketplace applicants.Assist in directing division staff and contractors on areas for program improvement and exceptional consumer experience.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 5% for this position. QualificationsALL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Interpreting or applying health care laws, regulations or policies to determine program direction; 2) Implementing program or policy changes, new requirements, or business operations; AND 3) Overseeing or coordinating the work of subordinate employees or team members to ensure work assignments are completed. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
