Slalom is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our newly formed Regional Delivery Team. RDT helps our clients transform their businesses by providing local teams access to cutting edge capabilities and scarce expertise. You will assist in supporting, developing, and expanding new capabilities throughout the regions, which will require about 60-80% travel. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with clients to evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, infrastructure, and controls. You will help them evaluate and establish the business & enterprise architecture blueprint for business and technology alignment to reduce costs, minimize risk, and increase value. Responsibilities:Advise clients on the overall enterprise architecture landscape on various solution architecture areas including technology, information, data, security, and integration. Implement and architect large scale, innovative IT solutions. Collaborate with clients and key partners to translate business requirements into technical and functional requirements, in order to develop creative solutions Share knowledge in standard methodologies, design principles, and sophisticated technologies Assist technical project teams and lead design sessions Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance and oversight on delivery and implementation Define the scale and scope of projects, including logical/physical landscape Evaluate and identify IT-related risks, including compliance, operations, revenue, and growth risks. Independently develop a strategic hypothesis and point of view to address a problem Produce target state solution architectures, perform architectural assessment and gap analysis, and help formulate the overall solution strategy and roadmap Develop target state models (IT Operating Models, Architectures, Value models) that align with the clients' strategic needs Lead client partners through the strategic process of model-based hypothesis, discovery, analysis, planning, and conclusion Generate Executive Summary presentations of the strategic work performed to senior leaders Generate thought leadership in one's chosen area of specialization Develop "trusted advisor" relationships with our clients in the West region Qualifications:10+ years' experience working with sophisticated technologies, supplying solution architecture 5+ years of consulting experience at the enterprise level A breadth of experience, with the ability to investigate in one area as an SME Ability to define technology capabilities (both the technology components and operational components) that are aligned to a business strategy Experience analyzing, designing, and planning of cross-domain architecture components for the successful development and execution of a strategy Previous creation of models that describe the core functional capabilities of an IT delivery organization Proficiency in the development and use of solution architecture frameworks, patterns, and standard methodologies to drive business transformation. Familiarity and exposure to Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies (Zachman, TOGAF, Gartner, etc.) Experience in the large-scale technology implementations, IT Operating Model transformations, IT Cost Reduction and or IT Workforce Transformation initiatives Familiarity with and ability to ramp-up on new technologies like AI, Big Data, IoT, etc., and apply them individually or in combination to enable new business value Experience working in multiple businesses, business domains, and industries Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Development of strategies, or the mobilization of capabilities in one or more of the following areas: Agile, Cloud Migration, Application Rationalization, Application Modernization, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Architecture Blueprints, API's, Micro-Services, Asset Re-use, IT Service Management, Product Management Ability to integrate with and collaborate with sales executives, client leads, other practice areas, account teams, and engagement teams Knowledge of the engagement management lifecycle, client and relationship management, proposal development, engagement economics, and negotiation Outstanding interpersonal skills (both in presentation and comprehension) Highly independent and able to work independently as well as in a team environment Aptitude for learning new technologies, and thought leadership Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field Ability to travel 60-80% Preferred:Experience in similar consulting firms and demonstrated track record of providing consulting services to organizations Experience with technical account management and/or business development Experience managing and mentoring direct reports, and building robust teams Slalom is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
