As the Senior Construction Manager (CM) on our team in Washington, DC, you will have responsibility for delivery of CM Agency (CMa) services in support of new construction or modernization projects. This is a supervisory position with responsibility for project oversight and control over meeting scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives throughout the design and/or construction stages of one or more projects.Primary Responsibilities:Manage overall project delivery encompassing cost control, schedule oversight, quality assurance, risk management, and contract administration as the Owner's agent.Manage design phase activity with engagement of technical and cost estimating disciplines.Monitor and document contractor performance relating to approved schedules for construction.Apply CM best practices and client processes to design, construction and commissioning stages.Coordinate with Government, A/E, Contractor and other stakeholders.Interpret construction documents and certify that work is performed in accordance with the contract.Administer payment requisitions, submittal and RFI processes.Supervise on-site staff tasked with administrative, quality and/or project controls responsibilities.Prepare detailed scopes of work for new projects or Changes on existing projects.Develop independent cost estimates and schedules.Perform technical (scope) and price-reasonableness evaluations of proposals for Changes in the work.Utilize Project Management Control Systems to record, track, analyze, and report project data.Prepare agenda, record and distribute meeting minutes. Lead the resolution of issues arising during design, construction and project handover stages.Prepare monthly executive-level progress reports and briefing materials.Facilitate teamwork and collaboration to produce results that achieve client objectives. Qualifications Here's what you'll need:Active, fully adjudicated TS Clearance.Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline.Fifteen (15) years pf progressive experience as a Project Manager in an engineering, construction contracting, or construction management organization.Strong working knowledge of building construction, building systems and technology, contract management, project execution, team building and client relationship management.Ideally, you'll have:Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Certified Construction Manager credentials.Experience with Federal building construction (modernization or new) projects.Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software and Prolog.
