Workplace & Occupancy Planning LeadJLL is seeking a Workplace & Occupancy Planning Lead to work on developing a strategic plan for space usage and location of programs and business groups. This role will report to the Account Director and partner closely with the client Corporate Real Estate Team to drive tactical and strategic planning aligned with the client's portfolio objectives, while also advocating for their workplace goals. The manager also serves as the single point of contact for quality control in terms of consistency in planning processes, procedures and protocols.The Role:As a Global Workplace & Occupancy Planning Lead, you'll be managing corporate-wide planning standards, company image control, and special, ad-hoc planning analyses, and serve as the global manager to the entire team of occupancy planners. The leader will use data, analytical insights and strong problem-solving skills to develop and present multiple space scenarios to stakeholders, and prepare scenarios that accommodate future demand. More importantly, the Occupancy Planning Manager will need to partner closely with the client to anticipate and understand the requests coming from different client groups, assess the space options available and develop options that account for competing priorities and requests. This requires strong relationship management skills along with dealing with very sensitive information.You'll need to have a great knowledge in Corporate Real Estate and familiarity with activity-based working, change management, and utilization tracking and reporting. In this role, you will work with the client to proactively drive the sizing and location of programs (variety of work settings, amenities, campus needs) and make sure appropriate considerations and provisions are made in advance. You will provide a mechanism to engage "swat" teams as needed to respond to unexpected needs. You will serve as liaison and facilitate necessary communication between planning staff, other Jones Lang LaSalle team members, client real estate staff, as well as support vendors (architects, facilities mgmt. team, furniture, MAC team, CAD/CAFM team etc.) that may be required from time-to-time in order to deliver the services outlined (important to have "partner" mindset). Also, you will lead, develop, and manage the yearly forecasting process by leveraging demand needs and portfolio data analytics.Key Responsibilities:To be successful in this role, you should be able to ensure global consistency in delivery of services, by providing training and review of all deliverables; guarantee that Jones Lang LaSalle's continually evolving "best practices" are incorporated into the work product of the entire team; and make sure a strong collaboration with other JLL service lines.We are looking for a team leader who brings out the best in their teams and exhibits managerial courage when needed. Support regional planners in detailed data analysis, in support of HC forecasting and site and building metrics.Work closely with facilities, MAC, projects, and local stakeholders, with a focus on detailed scenario planning and occupancy planning, to improve the efficiency of the client's real estate portfolio. Support regional planners in demand planning analysis by maintaining site capacity metrics.Support regional planners in detailed data analysis either in support of HC forecasting or in support of site and building metrics.Support regional planners and translate macro level scenario plans into stack plan development (at site or building level). Provide several options of stack plans based on detail data and guiding principles set forth. Responsible for process improvements to provide efficiencies in delivering services, thought leadership and overall performance of the team.Requirements:A Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is required8 - 15 years of experience in corporate environment.MBA is preferred.Previous experience in space/occupancy planning at a strategic level, plus experience with interior office renovations is highly desirable.You'll need to be dynamic and technologically savvy and utilize software to support planning solutions and communicate ideas clearly with planning team and lines of businesses. You will be successful if you have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations), and CAFM tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to consolidate data and floor plans into Power Point for presentations to client and lines of business is highly valued. You'll be effective in your role by learning to ask the right questions to understand the underlying needs of our clients. You keep on top of things as you'll often need to reorganize your time day to day, to deal with your team's changing necessities and requests.
