The Rewinder Operator is responsible for maintaining the operations (production, routine cleaning, etc) on the mat line. The operator is responsible for: - Loading/ Unloading - Monitor roll characteristics (diameter, edge, quality, tension, etc.)- Perform light cleaning and maintenance of equipment- Perform daily inspections of area and equipment- Maintain daily production log- Regularly communicate with the other operators on status of roll- Monitor progress of machine via computersEach roll takes approximately 90 minutes to run. 30- 40 minutes are spent doing a changeover which requires speed, accuracy and working with a high sense of urgency. The rest of the 90 minutes, you are monitoring via computer.
