Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldLaw Clerk IPAE has an opening for a Law Clerk I to support our government customer at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC.Analyze and evaluate evidence connected with complex fraud schemes and identify potential legal theories to address unlawful activities. Prepare detailed reports that include formal analyses and findings for developing and investigating cases. Law clerk candidate will be asked to analyze records, reconstruct events, and develop information from a variety of sources through comprehensive fact-finding. Review massive datasets to identify suspicious activities, unusual patterns, trends, and fraud. Law clerks perform legal research and analysis and draft affidavits, subpoenas, legal memoranda, and briefs. Minimum Qualifications:Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.Law degree required.Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging. Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
