Responsibilities

You will be responsible for operating 10-15 ton bridge cranes from on board operation, ground level radio control and drop pendants.

Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. Typical duties include:

* Lifting, positioning and transporting materials, equipment and supplies in the shop.

* Performing incidental fork lift operations.

* Performing a limited variety of complex rigging tasks and a wide range of common rigging tasks involved in the construction of marine vessels and in conjunction with various miscellaneous manufacturing projects.

* Estimating the weight and center of gravity of the load to be moved.

* Installing, inspecting and repairing crane rigging.

Qualifications

5. Reliability and dependability as a Crane Operator
