The Cybersecurity Identity Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Systems Engineer interested in joining the Cybersecurity Identity Engineering team. You will address the challenges of cloud-first architectures, an increasingly mobile-workforce, and the accelerated rate of application-modernization which creates considerable opportunity for innovation in identity and access-management. The chosen candidate will be a talented Cybersecurity Systems Engineer that can move GEICO's Identity and Access management programs into the future! As the ideal candidate you will have a minimum of 5 years combined experience in systems administration, networking, and information security - preferably including experience in core identify and access platforms such as Active Directory. Responsibilities Include: Engineering Identity and Access related solutions in support of GEICO's security programsCollaborating with Identity Architecture to design and deploy identity and access solutions that are resilient and highly availableDeploying, configuring and supporting identity and access related platforms and infrastructure for services such as Active Directory, Identity and Access Lifecycle Management and Governance, Federated authentication, Cloud Single Sign-On, Azure Active Directory, and Multi-Factor AuthenticationDeveloping security practices, policies and standardsCreating and maintaining security documentationResearching security topics Key Responsibilities: Participate and contribute to the design and deployment of identity and access solutions that are resilient and highly availableAssist in managing threat, attack detection and vulnerability management serviceAssist with the creation, review and maintenance of security policies and standards for networkingOwn the remediation and communication of high priority/critical/complex issuesMaintain a consistent security threat dashboard that combines multiple tools and processesDeploy, configure, and support associated platforms and infrastructure As the selected candidate, you will work with other engineers, developers, and analysts in the Identity and Access Management organization to protect GEICO's information assets internally and externally. You will also plan, prioritize, manage risks, execute, and provide status to management. You will be able to look beyond immediate assignments and participate in developing a strategic roadmap for Identity and Access programs at GEICO. The role demands project management skills, great interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. You can also expect to deliver effective presentations. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years hands on experience or working knowledge on a variety of infrastructure platforms including Windows Servers, (Linux is a plus), Windows Platforms and ApplicationsFundamental understanding of cybersecurity conceptsFundamental understanding of identity and access concepts including Active Directory users and groupsCritical and Analytical thinking skillsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technology incidents and problemsAbility to perform root cause analysisExperience with PowerShell or similar scripting language Desired Skills and Experience: 2+ Experience with Administration of Active DirectoryStrong Documentation skillsStrong understanding of core security concepts and practicesFamiliarity with cloud concepts, service offerings and infrastructuresExcellent understanding of IT systems - Windows, Networking, Linux, etc.Security Service Management - setting SLAs, Processes, Procedures and StandardsSecurity , Network and A CertificationsOther Security certificationsEducation: BS/MS - Computer or relevant discipline, or actively pursuing is preferred #LI-DP1 #DI-DP Note: The safety of our associates, both current and future, is GEICO's highest priority.
