The APEX program is in search of a System Engineer to support the onsite maintenance of the command and control software and hardware. The engineer will be part of a small team of engineers in testing, resolving, and documenting issues with software and hardware. The candidate will be a member of an operational and maintenance team. The role is for a Sr. System Engineer supporting software integration and system maintenance. This position is for an engineer who will participate in planning, documenting, developing and testing of software baselines relating to APEX exploitation and analytics, prior to delivery to the customer. This engineer will participate in both the development and the support and services phase of the program life cycle by creating and updating test plans and procedures, executing test procedures, and evaluating and investigating deficiency reports and change requests from the customer and internal sources. This position requires an active TS/SCI with CI poly clearance.There is the potential for a sign-on bonus of up to $40,000 for hires with an active TS/SCI or higher clearance Responsibilities: Duties include correction and update of documents, contribute to presentations, support design reviews, support customer requests for information and recommend appropriate configuration, equipment and software changes to satisfy requests and system integration and test support. Candidates must be professional, self-starter and possess a positive attitude, while being willing to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and recommending improvements to both. A cents € cents Investigating operational anomalies in ground software and hardware A cents € cents Facilitate between operations staff and development team to understand and resolve anomalies A cents € cents Performing checkout of new software installation A cents € cents Interacting with customers both on and offsite on a regular basis Required Skills: A cents € cents 4 + years prior experience performing operational & maintenance support or systems integration and software testing in traditional or agile development environmentsA cents € cents 4+ years of UNIX operating system languages (BASH, CSH, SHELL)A cents € cents 4+ years of in a software development or Dev/OPS work environmentA cents € cents 4+ years minimum of software systems integration or testing experienceA cents € cents Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite of toolsA cents € cents Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide high level and technical briefingsA cents € cents Ability to understand customer vision and ensure that the software components integrate together and work to the customer's satisfactionA cents € cents Demonstrated experience and presence with customers A cents € cents Availability to travel locally (day trips) to the customer site Desired Skills: A cents € cents Knowledge with system networks, TCP/IP and FTP protocolsA cents € cents Knowledge with configuration management (IBM Clearcase, Clearquest and DOORs)A cents € cents Knowledge with HTTPS, SOAP or RESTA cents € cents Experience with GEOINT in the intelligence community A cents € cents Experience in PERL, Python, or other scripting languagesA cents € cents Experience in Six Sigma Tools and techniques Education Requirements:B.S.
