Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include: Systems Engineering Center (SEC) is a great place to become intimately involved in the hardware, software, and missions of space systems. We analyze product options using simulations and modeling to select the best designs. We engineer the technical requirements for our products, develop plans and procedures for testing, conduct tests, and analyze test data to ensure the systems will work as intended in the brutal environment of space. We also support the on-orbit operation of our sensors from control centers located around the world. The type of work you can do in the SEC organization depends on your level of experience and interests: Perform modeling and simulation of space systems missions and equipment Communicate status, results and recovery plans to senior management and engineering teams Actively contribute to system engineering reviews and engineering analysis of space systems Support new business development efforts through participation in proposal generation Security Clearance & Other Requirements: . US Citizenship status is required as this position will need a US Security Clearance within 1 years of start date. Required Skills: Familiar modeling and simulation of systems and equipment Familiar with MATLAB and/or Python US Citizenship Ability to acquire a DoD TS/SSBI Security Clearance Desired Skills: Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of space systems, Proficient skills of M&S tool(s) eg STK Minimum of 1 year experience in space systems engineering, analysis, and/or verification Experienced in preparing and delivering briefings to technical and customer audiences Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines Required Education: MS Degree from an accredited university with a major in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Discipline by summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date. 168324 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
