Westat has immediate openings for e-QIP agents to work on an national education study. This is an on-site position in Gaithersburg, Maryland in an environment that allows for social distancing and provides sanitizing supplies for work areas.

Description of duties:

As an e-QIP Agent, the applicant will have a broad array of responsibilities. e-QIP Agents will:

· Update e-QIP applicant statuses and upload documents into the Dept. of ED e-QIP system with zero errors.
o Alert the Dept. of ED e-QIP team via email whenever a change is made to an applicant record or a document has been uploaded to the e-QIP system.
· Help applicants with their application over the phone from start to finish. Patience is key as phone calls can be long.
· mail out packets (via inter-office mail as well as FedEx),
· email applicants directly,
· schedule phone calls,
· be comfortable with or willing to learn WebEx,
· check voicemail and
· put together hard copy information packets.

Basic Qualifications:

· A High School Diploma or GED is required to apply

· Must be U.S. Citizens

· Must be able to complete e-QIP clearance

· Must have excellent attendance

· Must be willing to work on-site in Gaithersburg, MD

· Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to speak with a broad range of people over the phone.

· Must be able to multi-task and work at a productive pace each day

· Must be accurate and detail-orientated

· Must display a professional demeanor and have a “team player” attitude

· Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe

These assignments are temporary hourly positions. Benefits are based on hours worked and tenure.
