The Senior Surface Combat Systems Engineer provides onsite systems and software engineering support for NAVSEA Track Management system customers throughout the system lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides systems engineering support for a wide variety of Naval Surface and Air combat weapon systems and track management systems.

Provide leadership and technical guidance for Software Requirements Reviews (SRR), Critical Design Reviews (CDS), and Technical Review Team (TRT) meetings.

May act as an engineering project manager supporting NAVSEA customers.

Participate in, and may serve as lead on, Government working groups and reviews.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's in systems engineering, computer science or related field with 15 years of experience in one or more NAVSEA track management programs.

An active Secret security clearance is required.

Experience with Naval combat systems, e.g., AEGIS and SSDS, DDG1000, LCS, including design, performance, analysis, or military applications.

Experience in architecting and developing Naval combat systems, including missions and capabilities definition, operational requirements, functional allocation, model and simulations, testing, integration, and operational deployment.

Experience in developing Naval combat system elements, including requirements definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational deployment.

Experience in development of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products as well as other architectural representations of Track Management and link functions.

Familiar with developing acquisition/engineering documents such as: Capability Requirement Documents, Capability Production Documents, System Engineering Plans, System Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, Interface Design Documents and Specifications.

Recent experience providing cybersecurity systems engineering support, developing system security requirements and architecture, assessing the applicability of NIST SP 800-53 security controls, and assessing system security using the Risk Management Framework.

Desired Skills:

DoD IA Workforce training or certification at the IAM II/III level compliant with DoD 8570.01.

MS in Systems Engineering.
