Summary

This position is located in the Office of Communications, Headquarters, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support developing strategic and programmatic approach to managing relationships with the agency's core audience/stakeholders -namely consumers, bankers, policymakers, media, academics and analysts.

Responsibilities

-Serve as a strategic partner and liaison to senior staff and leadership, providing recommendations on issues of communications, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.

-Collaborate and partner with FDIC Divisions and Program Offices, performing analysis toward the understanding and identification of areas of opportunity for stakeholder engagement and messaging, creating new initiatives, and communicate deliverables.

-Identify and analyze stakeholder communication challenges, interests, aspirations and concerns to better define and manage FDIC stakeholder engagement opportunities and goals.

-Plan, lead and attend stakeholder meetings, ensuring timely feedback and responses to stakeholder questions and requests. Develop briefing materials for meeting participants as needed.

-Review and assess stakeholder interactions and evaluate outcomes using a customer relationship management (CRM) system, such as Salesforce or other.

-Collaborate and partner with FDIC program offices to gain understanding and identify areas of opportunity for stakeholder engagement and messaging, creating new initiatives and deliverables.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience working for a financial regulatory agency, financial services trade organization, or congressional committee developing a strategic and programmatic approach to managing relationships with core audiences/stakeholders, including consumers, bankers, policymakers, media, academics and financial analysts.
