Ref ID: 04510-9502670693 Classification: VP/Director of Finance Compensation: $110000.00 to $125000.00 yearly Our client, a school within a major University, is currently recruiting for a Director of Finance and Administration. This key role will serve as a strategic advisor to University/School leadership and will oversee the financial strategy, budget, planning, accounting and operational areas including human resources, contracts and grants. The Director of Finance and Administration will support a growing multi-million dollar school within the University and provide proactive and strategic guidance regarding new programs and business ventures. This unique and entrepreneurial position will be very hands on acting as the lead financial analyst for the complex programs within the school. The Director will have the opportunity to add value and offer strategic advice and perform analytics for multiple program areas in addition to interfacing with affiliates worldwide. The Director of Finance and Administration will be expected to work independently and collaborate and develop relationships with department heads and leadership within the greater University. Key duties for this Director of Finance and Administration position will include: 1) Oversight for all school and departmental budgets including interface with the greater University. Utilize and maintain relevant financial data systems to support data-driven operations management of the school, including but not limited to University applications for operations administration and business intelligence. Work with School leadership to develop and approve annual operating budgets for departments and develop reporting tools to allow for greater efficiency. This position will also oversee school procurement, accounts payable and receivable functions as well as provides guidance on contracts and risk management. 2. Support leadership by providing financial strategies as well as short and long term planning including the hands on the development of financial models and forecasting to support the strategic planning and direction of the School. 3) Provide financial guidance and monitor the financial performance of the program revenue and expense models as well as revenue sharing agreements. 4) Closely work with school leadership to determine financial viability of new and existing programs and proposed new business ventures. 5) Develop key reports for the leadership team including complex financial analyses for specific projects. This role will also prepare special reports as required and will serve as liaison with the University Budget Office. 6. Manage a staff of three in finance as well as and assume leadership regarding hiring decisions, training of new staff, performance of evaluations and employee development.
