Responsibilities

  • Serves as an expert in the field of cost estimating and specification writing.
  • Possesses an understanding of engineering principles, concepts, engineering manuals, technical directives, and applicable test procedures.
  • Operates standard cost estimating and specification writing software.
  • Directs and applies procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies of the cost estimating and specification writing industry.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position requires Travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
  • The duties of this position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver?s License.
  • Work will include physical exertion in terms of walking, climbing, and standing, sitting, lifting, and carrying weights but not in excess of 40 pounds.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education

    This announcement uses the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
