Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the CN-51 (broadly equivalent to the GS-11). If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

-Use analytical expertise, and knowledge of the Division's programs, functions and policies, to provide accurate and timely analyses, advice, and support as necessary to implement the Division's programs and related policies, directives, and instructions.
-Conduct research in response to individual or team questions about the Division's programs and related policies and processes.
-Provide recommended solutions based on that research and identifies best practices for enhanced processes in the future.
-Research, analyze, and assist in drafting technical reports, memoranda, correspondence, technical and policy documents, and other materials related to the Division's programs.
-Recommend actions necessary to maintain or improve the quality and quantity of office services that involve the introduction or refinement of automation, reorganization of operating sections and units, reassignment of personnel, and development of proposals to increase the organization's resources, or other actions.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the CN-40, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-30grade level in the Federal service (For qualification purposes, the CN-30 is broadly equivalent to the GS-7). Specialized experience for this position includes:

· Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research; AND

· Preparing written reports and communications to enhance understanding of and compliance with regulatory and supervision issues. AND

· Performing work in office administration or office management support utilizing administrative operational policies, concepts, and practices to analyze and develop recommendations to improve program operations.

OR
You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such degree from an accredited college or university or LLB or JD if related.

OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. This is creditable providing the combination consists of 100% of the requirement. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
