Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer(OCHCO), Associate Directorate for Human Resources Training and Development(ADHRTD), Learning & Talent Development Branch (LTDB).

The supervisor is Dafna Silberfeld.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This position requires minimal travel.

Relocation expenses associated with interview and/or relocation will be paid.

Responsibilities

As a Training Support Assistant (TSA) in the Learning & Talent Development Branch it is NRC staff's first line point-of-contact for training support. The TSA is responsible for the Learning Management System (LMS) user support, documenting and escalating technical issues. The TSA also registers employees for external training and supports the External Training manager. The TSA receives requests by email, Web form, or telephone call, and logs and manages them in a Service Request System.

This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to assist NRC employees and LMS users with questions about the LMS and NRC training policy and procedures as well as answer questions regarding status of registration and communication with outside vendors.

You must meet the qualifications for this position by no later than 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement and before placement in the position.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is demonstrated by working in an environment utilizing various office software programs (Microsoft Office, ADAMS, etc.), providing customer service to NRC staff, and researching, analyzing problems, gathering data, recognizing solutions, and conveying information to appropriate audience.

The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates:

Demonstrated experience utilizing various office software programs (Microsoft Office, ADAMS, etc.)

Demonstrated experience using critical thinking skills and the ability to work with all levels of NRC staff and management.

Demonstrated ability to meet, interact, deal effectively, and address issues with all level NRC staff members and, commercial vendors.
