Responsibilities

This position is located in the Diversion Control Division (DC), Diversion Planning & Resources Section (DPA), Diversion General Services Unit (DPAS) in Arlington, VA. The incumbent will perform the following duties:
  • Evaluates organizational effectiveness and skill set requirements, advises management on resource requirements, issues, and strategies related to DC procedures and policies.
  • Devises and develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of major agency programs, including drafting memos, reports and guidance documents for DC management and staff.
  • Conducts analyses in support of strategic program planning, budget forecasting, workforce and staffing analysis, and project management.
  • Supervises a group of employees performing work up to the GS-13 grade level.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert with responsibility for a full range of administrative, analytical, and budgetary support of activities intended to reduce the opportunity for the commission of criminal acts in violation of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

Qualifications

GS- 14: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 Federal grade level performing the following duties: developing detailed plans, goals and objectives for long range implementation; advising on policy, regulations and program development; developing budget estimates and justification for funding; and providing administrative and technical supervision of a work group.
