Description:Job Title: Lead, Sales/Account Management-ArmyJob Location: Aberdeen, MDJob ID: CS20201 - 0POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director, Sales, the Sales Account Manager - Army is responsible for the full cycle of business development and sale of SATCOM products and services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* Within the assigned territory for the Department of Defense, the Sales Account Manager is responsible for prospecting, developing and maintaining customer relationships, developing customer needs and requirements, and aligning customer expectations with SATCOM products and services* Responsible for identifying, validating and monitoring customer funding budgets and working customer procurement opportunities through all phases of the buying process to contract award* Responsible for developing detailed account plans to close on sales objectives; develops and forecasts quarterly and annual sales for assigned region; projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products and services* Provides quarterly forecasts to management, and monthly forecasts within the current quarter* Implements sales programs by developing sales action plans* Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzes trends and results* Responsible for market growth and expansion of assigned territory* Self-motivated and driven leader with a sense of urgency to stay in front of strategic opportunities* Responsible for overall customer satisfaction during and after the sale* Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors* Recommends selling prices by monitoring competition and supply and demand* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies* Participates in trade shows and other eventsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Basic Qualifications* Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience in Engineering or Business; Master's degree wityh 7 years; or related Military Service accepted in lieu of degree, minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience.* Knowledge of Government capability development process (JCIDS, PPBE, AMS) and buying processes, including DFARS and FARS* 5+ years of experience working within the Army Capability Development Process organizations (professional acquisition officer, requirements officer, Service Advocate/User Representative/Proponent) or selling to the Army* Must have an active, or active within the last 24 months, DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance, Top Secret preferred.Preferred Qualifications* Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering preferred* 10+ years of direct, full-cycle sales experience* Proven track record in the uncovering, pursuit and closure of new sales opportunities; expansion of sales with existing customers and markets; meeting/exceeding quotas.* Full-cycle direct sales experience with a concentration in technical and Government sales (this does not include program management or account management)
