Job Description - TAS Pricing Manager (BAL00000198)TAS Pricing Manager - BAL00000198 Description OverviewThe Pricing Manager provides a consistent approach andstrategic thinking for the pricing and approval of products.Responsible for managing the pricing process and developing strategic pricingrecommendations to be presented to senior leadership. Accomplishes objectives through research and analysis of competitivepricing dynamics and development of robust pricing models for products andproduct lines. Supervision,direction, oversight, and evaluation ofthe pricing/costing personnel and evaluation of assigned accounts.Duties and ResponsibilitiesConductdaily GP maintenance, reporting and reconciliation tasks including addressingall costing/pricing issues related to DAs, FOBs, layered cost problems,credits, etc.Create,maintain and distribute sales documents, spreadsheets, trackers and variousreports for management and suppliersGeneratead-hoc specialty reports for executivemanagement, sales management, andsuppliers as directedAssistin the verification of incentive recaps and program bonuses for sales personnelMaintainpricing books and cost/sell reports; ensure accurate pricingIdentifyerrors created by sales staff on order transmissions and work with theemployees to make the necessary correctionsManageall supplier pricing calendars for wholesale and retail filings in a timely andaccurate mannerEnsureall data sources are in place including brand funding, price supportResponsiblefor assuring that pricing calendar meets state regulatory guidelines andtimetablesWorkwith pricing department to ensure current and future pricingPreparecost support packages complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Assistpricing negotiations of customers proposalsLeadand direct pricing strategy formulation as well as take pricing actions toenhance profitabilityPerformfinancial evaluation to assess the effectiveness of pricing actionsIdentifyand highlight key strategic considerations surrounding each pricing requestDefinenew business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulateimplementation or maintenance of pricing systemConsolidateand manage pricing knowledge over time to provide even greater context for pricing decisionsManagetotal pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of the efficiencies and ensure timely response to marketconditionsPartnerwith purchasing buyers, product managers and sales organization to assureintegrated plus profit-maximizingapproach to marketAnalyzefinancial impact of price approach givenoverall history as well as the profitabilityof customerLead,coach and manage a team of professionals, to include hiring, development andprogressive discipline/termination, as neededPerformother job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum QualificationsBachelor s Degree plus five yearsof experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreviousbackground in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of syndicated andPOS dataKnowledge in Programming and Price StructureKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internalcontrols and financial reportingWorking knowledge of budgetary and fiscal oversight responsibilitiesMust have a working knowledge of Computer Software (eg, Microsoft Office andexcellent Excel / PowerPoint skills,SharePoint Business Objects)Must beself-directed, autonomous and yet be able to work well with multipleindividuals at all levels on a regular basisAbility to travelup to 25%, primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, DC, DE).Preferred QualificationsOne year of demonstrated supervisory experienceAbilityto prioritize multiple projects on time and budgetWorking knowledge of Finance and accounting practicesDemonstratedsuccess in building and improving relationships with suppliers and buyerscombined with established and effective rapport in the entire geographic regionExcellentanalytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative analysis skills toprovide insights into performance and efficiency opportunitiesStrong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-pacedenvironment and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent customer service skills in all interactions with internal and externalcustomers, including but not limited to personnel from other divisions,vendors, suppliers, and other departmentsExcellentcommunication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to build relationship andcollaboration across different departments, sometimes virtuallyPhysical DemandsPhysical demands with activity or conditionmay occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMayrequire occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs Job: SalesPrimary Location: United States-Maryland-BaltimoreShift: Day Shift
