Bennett Aerospace is a rapidly growing business focused on hiring and retaining the best people.Position Description: Sr. Capture ManagerBennett Aerospace, Inc. has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Sr. Capture Manager specializing in Services based Procurements and located in either Washington, DC area or at the Headquarters office in Raleigh, NC. The Successful candidate will be responsible for leading capture activities that successfully navigate the company out of the 8a program and into the broader small business and full and open market. The successful candidate will bring a proven competency and demonstrated understanding of new business capture and winning across all contract types, complex solutions development and selling, and effective management of medium to large-scale contract pursuits.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities/Duties: Lead, develop, maintain and execute capture strategies including detailed capture plans with senior leadership buy-in.Follow corporate processes for Business Development and Capture. These activities include building and managing a capture team, developing a capture plan with customer engagement activities, contacting existing clients and partners, communicating core capabilities, establishing teaming agreements, and managing bid and proposal funding.Contribute to business planning activities, such as pipeline reviews, opportunity workshops and color teams, opportunity gate reviews, and periodic business reviews.Contribute to the development proposal and marketing content (white papers, RFI responses, position papers, executive summaries) in coordination with SMEs.Support after action reviews to document and identify implementation plans for lessons learned that can improve capture approach and strategy development for future opportunities.Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuitsAttend partner meetings and government and industry sponsored events, including industry days, procurement forecasts, conferences, and networking, as needed.QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:At minimum a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration or Engineering. 10+ years of experience (5 years business development and capture experience). Demonstrated experience in managing capture efforts to include identifying and winning professional services contracts ($10M+ annual value).Previous experience winning new business as a Capture Lead or Business Development Lead responsible for leading the strategy development and execution for a pursuit, including crafting the primary solution messaging for the customer and building the team for a winning solution.Deep understanding of Army priorities and missions, organizational relationships and requirements.Ability to maintain customer relationships with senior Government officials: officer and civilian leadership, Colonel (O-6), Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service.Developing and executing strategic and tactical plans, both short and long range, for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities and collection of opportunities.Familiarity with industry best practice activities necessary to transform qualified opportunities into wins.Must be articulate, adaptable, and able to work with a variety of personalities and individuals from various backgrounds such as program managers, executive management, government contracting office, and industry professionalsCollaborate and manage diverse teams and provide quality input and recommendations aimed at improving business development successIdentifies and resolves problems in a timely mannerHave a working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types and procurement processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, GovWin, Gov Contract Opportunities, FPDSFederal /Defense proessional services market; Technology Research and DevelopmentAbilities and Skills:Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and high attention to detail.Self-motivated with minimal oversight.Personnel Management skill.Understand and can communicate back complex technical information in laymen s terms both verbally and in written form.Security Clearance Requirements:Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, as required.
