  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field
    • In lieu of bachelor's degree, a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four (4) years' experience in systems analysis, production support and programming in a web application environment or similar work on applications in a Kronos environment. The experience must include Payroll Resources Information and functional experience in an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in systems analysis, production support and/or programming in a web application environment to include four (4) years combined experience in using Kronos Workforce Central and functional experience in an integrated ERP system is required Experience in processing; specifically configuring pay codes, pay rules, work rules, and executing interfaces and report creation using Kronos Workforce Central/Telestaff version 8.x (or greater) is required

  • PeopleSoft version 9.1 (or greater) Time and Labor experience defining workgroups and task groups and setting up processing rules

Incumbents in this role may be required to report to or continue to work in the event of authorized office closings or service suspensions due to severe weather, natural disaster, fire, operational emergencies or related events.


The Kronos HCM Administrator is responsible for the oversight, support and maintenance of the Kronos Workforce Time application and its integration into PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleSoft Financials. Specifically, this integration is designed to ensure that time and absences captured in Kronos interface accurately with the Time and Labor (T&L), Human Resources, Project Costing and General Ledger modules. The incumbent is accountable for facilitating planning , development , implementation, documentation and support for Metro's Kronos timekeeping application . The Kronos HCM Administrator is responsib l e for defining functional business processes and trans l ating them into system r equirements and communicating these r equirements to management.

  • Troubleshoots problems and provides production support for Kronos Workforce Central and PeopleSoft T&L. Identifies issues and recommends possible solutions for system improvements. Provides support with Kronos reporting. Assists users in the development and implementation of ad-hoc and/or special reporting requirements for both the Kronos and PeopleSoft applications. Provides functional leadership and works directly with end users, Payroll, Human Resources and/or IT to support the development of queries and custom reports.
  • Works with Payroll and HR on employee enrollment issues and monitors incorrect pay group mappings on the job record. Assists Payroll to run reconciliation queries and reports to support each pay cycle and resolve identified discrepancies. Coordinates meetings with end users, technical team, quality assurance and training groups to ensure understanding of functional specifications. Works closely with end users to identify system-related training needs and assists in the development and implementation of training solutions.
  • Assists other PeopleSoft T&L support needs. Coordinates with Payroll and IT on running the time administration and integration processes, including T&L pay sheets, load absences and pulling costs to sub-systems. Identifying any errors and assisting with performance issues. Sets up processing rules to manage time. Ensures Kronos pay rule assignment is aligned to the PeopleSoft's demographic. Enrolls time reporters into T&L and assigns them to work schedules where applicable. Works with Payroll and IT to support the Kronos work and pay rules, labor levels as well as WMATA custom T&L process rules. Understands the functionality and ensure compliance with labor contracts and pay policies.
  • Develops user impact analysis of all system changes, improvements and/or upgrades
