Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Specialist (HR Development), you will:

Design leadership curriculum, in support of the leadership competency model, and ensure acquisition and delivery of leadership programs. Work with the appropriate training center administrators and staff to ensure that all courses and course participants are appropriately supported.

Coordinate activities in support of the Executive Coaching Program. Work with staff to obtain reports and to ensure that invoices are accurate. Work to secure vendors and Government coaches to provide coaching services.

Manage activities, course, and curriculum supporting the career development program. Identify sources to support competency development in the workforce. Design processes and learning opportunities to support career development.

Manage and coordinate with employee network groups, OCC activities related to mentoring.

Assess leadership succession needs, inputting and analyzing data in support of this process, and provide recommendations to support succession needs of specific business units. Identify strategies, make recommendations, and develop programs to support the development of needed experiences to meet succession needs.

Occasional travel - Travel locally and/or overnight to attend training and conferences.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 60 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

Experience performing training and development program functions such as implementing an employee or leadership development program and assessing training needs within an organization.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To receive any credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate the number of hours worked per week, on your resume.

  • Salary range includes 22.26% geographical pay.
