IBOP Reporting and Data Analyst Marketing Statement:

The Planning, Performance and Improvement (PPI) unit of the Internal Business Operations department is the central collaborative team whose central mission is to promote the highest and best use of IBOP's budget and human capital resources. By coordinating and leveraging IBOP's resources, we can better succeed in performance improvements on behalf of WMATA.

The IBOP Reporting and Data Analyst position will be charged with working closely with business or program owners to recommend strategies forward in an efficient, data-driven way. This individual will be asked to develop reports, tools, and systems that allow for daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of processes and metrics across the six IBOP business units. Key skillsets include:
  • The ability to use analytical software and applications to monitor outcomes, prepare reports and present findings
  • The ability to recommend and influence changes based on the individual's strategic review
  • The ability to become subject matter experts on a multitude of topics and issues
  • Customer orientation and focus and be able to work closely with our internal teams to achieve results

Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or similar fields of study

Experience
  • Five (5) years of experience of data mining and analysis experience. Must have experience using Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, SQL and other database reporting tools. Must also include experience performing full analysis of the results reporting summaries, identifying trends and patterns and producing results for actionable management decisions.

Job Summary

The IBOP Reporting & Data Analyst functions as an expert for IBOP analytics and proactively analyzes relationships between data. Provides strategic analysis of data from multiple datasets to help drive informed decisions made by IBOP and WMATA management. Acts as a consultant to the department and organization in understanding IBOP data landscape and provides information regarding the location of and how to compile and organize it into actionable data to inform business outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Analyzes grievances throughout the various steps of the grievance process providing trends and predictive modeling. Creates efficiencies in work and processes through data mining.
  • Analyzes metrics throughout IBOP identifying trends and creates predictive modeling that enhances IBOP.Collects, stores, compiles and analyzes data provided by IBOP teams. This data is documentation of IBOP staff interaction with WMATA customers. Monitors and measures activities to understand and meet productivity requirements that align with the GM's customer service goals.
  • Using data from various systems within IBOP and other departments such as Microsoft Access, Visual Studio and SQL, provides analysis and summaries reporting the effectiveness of IBOP Department for the Executive Vice President of Internal Business Operations (IBOP) staff meetings. Also, provides other performance effectiveness measures and requirements that are based on quantifiable historical data. Ensures that these are aligned with the GM's customer service goals.
