Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates existing marketing and sales arrangements for the program, conducts a landscape analysis of current market opportunities to inform business plan development and future marketing initiatives.
- Demonstrates a business plan to scale up the program as a sustainable and profitable business that also demonstrates social impact outcomes for producer groups.
- Implements the business plan to include ensuring ethical sourcing, testing new marketing and sales approaches, building e-commerce and other sales channels, managing margins and costs, sourcing growth capital as needed, among other functions.
- Collaborates with various internal teams to integrate strategies to ensure maximum impact at the local level.
- Develops a strategy to integrate other NGOs working in the coffee sector into the approach.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 8-10 years' experience required, preference for individuals who have a history of starting a successful business
- Experience in the consumer goods/manufacturing/distribution industries required, coffee industry experience highly preferred
- Strong financial literacy with the ability to understand and prepare financial statements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Interest in working with local farmers in developing countries around the world
