The MIL Corporation seeks a Business Intelligence Application Tester with SAP Business intelligence and reporting experience to support a Federal Government client at our Arlington, VA location. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL scripting. The intent is for the candidate to become the subject matter expert for one of four application tracks of the Global Business Intelligence (GBI) and reporting system and be responsible for leading and managing the complete IV&V testing cycle for their application track. The candidate will also help ensure the performance and availability of GBI applications while leading IV&V test efforts for GBI software releases and database updates. Ideal candidate possesses CGI Momentum and SAP Business Intelligence application experience, ideally SAP HANA, Lumira and Business Objects reporting.

The candidate applies principles, theories and concepts, develops solutions to testing related problems and manages completion of assignments of limited scope. The candidate must be able to work under limited supervision and apply discretion and judgement to determine the best approach to task completion. The candidate will identify work scope, assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of completion of the scope for assigned application track on schedule and within budget.

  • Ensure availability and performance of the databases that support the IV&V testing environments
  • Maintain databases to include patching, backup and recovery, new release rollouts, and upgrades
  • Implement and release database changes required for front-end applications
  • Must be proficient in BO report and Lumira usage and design.
  • Develop form mapping documents, update, and/or execute SQL queries to validate report data
  • Creates, debugs and corrects complex reports
  • Document test results and issues and work with agile team to validate/recreate issues
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies when needed
  • Functions as a key contact between the IV&V team, Developers, and client assuring adequate preparation and test coverage
  • Ensures code integrity throughout testing, implementation and maintenance
  • Provides technical training for IV&V team members, relevant-users and create supporting documentation as needed
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and developers
  • Lead IV&V software release testing efforts for GBI applications and/or work as a supporting team member when required
  • Document, track and communicate defects to developers ensure that the appropriate actions are taken to resolve issue and questions
  • Communicate release and test application status to senior management
  • Present release test results to senior client management

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Financial Management
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desired Qualifications
  • 0 - 5 years of experience supporting Oracle databases, SAP Business Intelligence applications 0 - 5 years of experience providing technical support to CGI Momentum, Data Warehouse, or Performance Budgeting applications
  • Experience using Serena TeamTrack
  • Experience in SAP HANA or SAP Business Objects
  • Experience with CMMI and Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of Federal accounting/financial management policies, practices, operation, and procedures
