AARP Services (ASI) is where AARP's mission meets the marketplace for the 50+ population, by sparking new solutions that transform the marketplace to improve people's lives as they age. Founded in 1999 as the professional services arm of AARP, ASI supports the Association's mission of Disrupt Aging by helping bring new products to drive market innovation and build richer connections with consumers. ASI acts as a bridge, connecting companies to people by helping bring experiences, products and services that matter to them as they move through specific life stages.
Summary
Serves as a part of the marketing quality control function that oversees provider use of the brand, access to the member, and marketing communications experience. Facilitates delivery of all marketing-related activities internally, which includes data support, member communications in AARP channels, and integration of AARP priorities.
Responsibilities
Requirements
Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications.
Experience in partner/affinity marketing and/or oversight of external marketing relationships is preferred. Knowledge of travel and retail industry is a plus.
Requires strong direct-to-consumer marketing experience, especially in direct mail, digital, and social marketing.
Requires strong relationship management and project management skills and the ability to manage and influence relationships across multiple external vendors and business partners.
Excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills a must
Ability to toggle between multiple priorities at the same time at a fast and efficient pace.

Responsibilities
- Fulfills commitments to marketing oversight, brand stewardship, and enhancing the member experience with provider programs in the line of business.
- Serves as a marketing team representative supporting a suite of provider relationships in the travel and retail categories.
- Delivers oversight of provider marketing plans externally, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and AARP standards.
- Provides input on creative, product messaging, position, test strategies, and use of tactical channels, where appropriate, related to all provider marketing and member communications.
- Facilitates the compliance officer review of marketing materials, ensuring provider campaigns are properly developed and final materials reflect compliance needs.
- Partners with appropriate management and account leadership to ensure alignment with category strategy and to develop and implement account growth strategies.
- Partners with business development and account leadership to onboard new providers or additional special projects for existing providers.

- Liaises on behalf of AARP Services, including cooperative marketing programs, member benefit channels, and AARP advertising assets in an effort to create member value and intersections with Providers.
