Job Description:

Linking Instruction Nurturing Knowledge (LINK) Club is an ACPS afterschool program funded by the U.S. Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC). LINK Club serves ACPS disadvantaged students and their families at various schools and community sites in Alexandria. LINK Club is designed to prepare participating students for the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow by addressing their comprehensive needs through a whole-child approach. LINK Club provides outcome-based, year-round academic support, project-based enrichment and family engagement opportunities to the participating students.

LINK Club teachers will provide academic support/tutoring in core subject areas. Applicants should be available to work Monday-Thursday for one hour at the end of the school day. Times vary slightly by location.

Clearances:
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
  • Tuberculosis Skin Test.

Public Health Compliance
  • Proof of COVID vaccination. Exemptions for religious/medical will be reviewed.
  • Must follow safety and health protocols.

A recent City survey indicates that the number of people who made the decision to live in Alexandria based on the quality of the schools has increased since 2004. We have many reasons to celebrate.
