FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time, Regular

  • The Investigative Analyst shall support the INTERPOL Operations Command Center (IOCC), the Foreign Notices Program in Global Police Services, and other USNCB operational divisions if requested.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generates electronic case files in INTERPOL Washington's internal case management system, which includes data entry and uploading of preliminary investigative findings.
  • Transmits investigative information through international and domestic telecommunication systems in response to routine investigative and humanitarian inquires.
  • Answers and responds to phone inquiries from both domestic and international law enforcement partners.
  • Performs database queries in domestic and international law enforcement, compliance, and/or inspection computer systems to identify, gather and organize investigative leads.
  • Enters lookouts on foreign criminals into U.S. databases.
  • Inspects electronic case files and various documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 years of experience performing the basic tasks of this position.
  • Demonstrated experience in basic fact gathering and research methodology.
  • Experience with various software is essential, i.e., Microsoft Office suite, particularly Access and Excel.
  • Secret Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to work shift work .
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
