Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Clinical Informatics Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Clinical Informatics Specialist directs and participates in advance level specification, analysis, design, development, build, maintenance and documentation of AHC's clinical information systems focusing on the continuous improvement of processes.

As an Administrative/Billing Coordinator, you will:

Cerner Clinical Build Analyst
• Demonstrate strong functional and build knowledge of one of the following Cerner applications:
○ PowerChart
○ FirstNet
○ SurgiNet
○ Dyndoc
○ PowerNote
○ PowerChart Maternity
○ Care Manager
○ Care Compass
○ ESH
○ Powerforms
○ iView
○ DCPtools
○ Content Manager
○ Discern Rules
• Serve as a contributing member of the clinical applications team, dedicated to the development of electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice and align with the current best practice standards
• Recommend customization of the application for unique department scenarios and build using application tools with minimal assistance from team members and/or the application manager.
• Design, build, and test clinical application components and makes necessary changes using build tools with little direction and assistance from team members or the application manager.
• Communicate necessary changes made in the application amongst team members and site contacts as appropriate
• Develop and maintain system design documentation and outlines build steps using appropriate tools with some direction and assistance from team members or the application manager.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant major. Experience may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.
• 7-8 years direct clinical or relevant business operations, clinical information systems or related experience is required.
• Clinical licensure - preferred
• Requires in depth knowledge and experience of clinical information systems and Electronic Health Records. Experience in related area of Cerner solutions.
• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and/or external business issue to improve products and services.
• Supports all business entities for application related issues in a timely manner
• Strong verbal and written skills in English, including communication skills that promote interpersonal relations and customer service. Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all interactions and activities.
• Participates in the design, build, implementation, testing and maintenance for new and existing Cerner Millennium projects.
• Ability to create a work environment that promotes efficiency and productivity, satisfaction, growth and development, collaboration and teamwork.
• Must be able to perform all other tasks assigned by Manager
• Participates in Go-lives, downtime and support during non-business hours.
• Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite applications, inter/intranet environment applications
