Dewberry is hiring Construction Inspector Trainees to work on American Infrastructure projects in Northern, VA. Construction inspectors monitor and report on the work of contractors to ensure that the construction meets required quality standards. Quality inspection in infrastructure is essential as the projects we work on are used by millions of people and are designed to last for a very long time.

This position is based out of our Gainesville, VA office but the individual will report directly to project sites throughout Northern Virginia.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is required . Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• Working knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry and trigonometry
• Written and oral communication skills
• Prior construction inspection or related construction experience preferred
• Ability to follow directions, undertake necessary training, and gain applicable inspection certifications
• Understands the general nature of construction and contracting
• Computer skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, email and the internet
• Valid driver's license and qualified to drive company vehicle
