Westat's communications team is seeking a Client Services Manager to facilitate successful interaction, collaboration, and consultation with both internal and external clients to manage the production of high-quality deliverables such as reports, manuals, websites, video/motion, photography and interactive content. The Client Services Manager will oversee the design and implementation of a transparent traffic coordination methodology to track and manage deliverables across various staff and teams to ensure an optimal balance of productivity and creativity. This role also includes high-level strategic advisory of overall project scope, offering innovative ideas and appropriately questioning the status quo. 

Job Responsibilities:
• Act as a single point of contact for client-facing project managers who need communications and creative deliverables for government, non-profit, and corporate clients.
• Participate in meetings with project teams and clients to drive the identification and conceptualization of the creative deliverables to be created.
• Coordinate communications team (document production, graphics, writing, editing, 508 compliance, video) resources needed for particular client deliverables. Work with team managers to assess the scope of work and level of effort required from internal resources. 
• Coordinate the production schedule and approval of deliverables from communications and creative teams to project staff and external clients.
• Work with project teams on large projects to anticipate, scope, define, and schedule creative tasks.
• Act as QA/QC point for deliverables before presenting to clients and redirect creative staff if necessary to present the best possible drafts and deliverables based on a solid understanding of the client expectations and project scope. 
• Become familiar with specific agency or project client style guides for identity guidelines, usage, and formatting.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or relevant field. Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years of direct client management experience.
• Demonstrated written and oral communications skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages and strategies.
• Proven success in project management in a highly matrixed organization environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Marketing, Advertising, or PR Agency experience
• Government or Government Contracting Experience, civilian agencies preferred
• Demonstrated ability to drive a high number of quality deliverables on-time and on-budget.
• Direct experience with traffic coordination among writers, editors, and graphic artists, and use of project management tracking systems.
• Experience supervising staff and providing direction to help in their growth and development.
