There are Two PRN Positions Available

The Program Coordinator Exercise Physiology will supervise the exercise laboratory and ECG's. Will be responsible for the everyday maintenance and
administration of the lab and ECG Muse system. Will be responsible to conduct and supervise all exercise testing and exercise therapy for inpatients and outpatients. Will provide program support by planning, implementing and coordinating programs, events, and educational activities, and by administering policies and procedures.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Graduate degree in Exercise Physiology (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year Related experience (Required)

Functional Accountabilities

Equipment Maintenance
1. Perform daily checks and cleaning of equipment.
2. Coordinate equipment servicing with Biomed.
3. Make recommendations to improve and update equipment as necessary.
4. Maintain and order supplies for ECG and Stress Lab for all cardiology clinic locations and inpatient.

Scheduling and Admin Tasks
1. Coordinate scheduling of stress tests with families.
2. Educate families on test preparation and attire.
3. Coordinate with nuclear medicine, MRI and echo lab to accurately schedule specialized & interdepartmental visits.
4. Disseminate results to cardiologists, medical records, and Muse system.
5. Assist with updates to software.
6. Coordinate and schedule stress test appointments, meetings, and conferences with other departments.

Stress Tests
1. Properly prepare patient for test.
2. Perform pulmonary function tests, VO2, sestamibi, stress echo.
3. Provide for cooling down and recovery of patients.
4. Able to recognize unstable situations and seek assistance.

Professional Development
1. Identify own learning needs and seek opportunities to meet those needs.
2. Participate in hospital educational opportunities.
3. Assist doctors with research involving the Stress Lab/exercise testing.
4. Provide information about exercise testing to Fellows.

1. Maintain MUSE system.
2. Coordinate with the clinic team to confirm ECG only patients and fax to referring provider.
3. Verify proper ECG billing in Medaptus.
4. Input reading from ECG's into the MUSE system when indicated.
5. Maintain inpatient and outpatient ECG carts.
6. Reconcile daily ECG report and assign correct billing types for the billing team.

Program Coordination
1. Coordinate program task consistent with workload requirements and available resources.
2. Participate in specified program operations and systems.
3. Recommend and participate in development of new processes and systems to meet program needs.
4. Train and mentor new staff on processes.
5. Serve as a liaison with internal departments, stakeholders, and external collaborators and stakeholders; provide support with project management activities.
