The Postdoctoral Fellow Psychology will provide clinical services for patients and families of patients, including assessment, consultation, psychological testing, brief psychotherapy, and when indicated, longer-term therapy, and behavioral interventions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Specific Requirements and Preferences
or Psy .D. in Clinical Psychology from an AP A-accredited program (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience
3 years

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, experience working chronic illness', and multi-disciplinary team experience (Preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Training in evidenced-based psychological interventions.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Required Licenses and Certifications
Register with District of Columbia for supervision by licensed psychologist as requirement toward licensure.
Two thousand hours post-degree
conferral required prior to obtaining license in D.C. Pref

Functional Accountabilities

Customer Service
1. Provide caregiver guidance and psychotherapy to youth and families living with HIV/AIDS.
2. Complete psychological evaluations of HIV-positive yourth and consult with family members, educational advocates and schools as needed.
4. Provide mental health consultation to primary care patients and their medical providers.

Teamwork/ Communication
1. Participate on CNMC Special Immunology and Adolescent Medicine teams to provide total care to clients.
2. Document services performed in the EMR systems.
3. Collect data as needed for program.
4. Participate in grant reporting requirements.

1. Work with team to ensure compliance with grant expectations and requirements.
