Position Description : The Contractor shall perform the following duties and responsibilities for the Accounting Unit:

  1. Participate in the development of new or improved programs that interface with the general ledger (SOAR/Oracle) to serve the needs of the Office. Assists with the implementation of system interfaces in the general ledger system (D.I.F.S and TMS)
  2. Perform analysis round Office receivables, revenue and cash to ensure all accounting information is accurately recorded, reconciled and reported.
  3. Assist with the monthly and year end closing process and audit.
  4. Help to document processes and write policies and procedures.
  5. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of relevant accounting/administrative/ clerical assistant experience
  • Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
  • Must have experience and strong customer service skills, in person and telephone, with very good written and oral skills
  • Strong Accounting and reconcilement experience
  • An accounting and/or operational background is mandatory as the candidate will need to assist with the development of spreadsheets, reconcilements and input into other computer program
  • Accounting experience/knowledge/skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems such as SOAR and CFO Solve preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred
  • Preferred candidate must have a background in government or corporate finance/operations and customer service
