The Administrative Assistant for Teaching and Learning will provide office support for a variety of curriculum and instruction activities. This includes organizing, preparing and facilitating components of the supports for the Health and Physical Education office.

Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:

* Prepares documents and collects state data related to Driver's Education, Partners for Safe Teen Driving, and Behind the Wheel instruction
* Manages CPR Instructor certifications for HPE teachers, schedules re-certification trainings and coordinates with the vendor
* Ensures Adapted Physical Education referrals are properly logged, filed, and distributed in a confidential manner
* Works closely with the copy-center to produce and distribute program materials for Family Life Education and Safe Routes to Schools
* Edits Newsletters and other program communications
* Maintains and updates documents and resources
* Coordinates meetings with teachers and stakeholders
* Responds to stakeholder inquiries.
* Prepares and writes reports related to Teaching and Learning
* Provides completed reports in a timely manner
* Consults and collaborates with local school personnel
* Attends and participates in various Teaching and Learning meetings and curriculum groups, as requested.
* Supports and actively participates in the Office of Teaching and Learning

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferred
* Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and software programs, including the use of standard office devices such as PCs, tablets, scanners, printers, photocopiers
* Ability to perform general clerical work accurately and quickly
* Ability to communicate effectively, to work cooperatively with others and to work under pressure and/or with frequent interruptions
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents
* Speaker of a language other than English, preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, drive and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend and may be required to lift up to approximately 25 pounds.

Itinerant travel is required, and the employee is required to change locations and adapt to multiple environments across schools and offices. Ability to drive and navigate to multiple locations occasionally within a single day is required.

Additional Details

Salary: Band Rate: Band 3 ($15.57/hour) This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position. No guarantee of minimum hours.

This is a Non-Exempt position.
