Capital One is seeking a technical expert in Cloud Security to execute on cyber strategy, while playing a key role in assessing, challenging and advising on infrastructure, platform, and software services in the cloud. The ideal candidate will display a strong understanding of industry best practices in the Cloud including governance, engineering, architecture and networking. You will collaborate closely with associates in Cyber, Technology, the lines of business, and risk management offices. You will evaluate and make recommendations to bolster and secure Capital One's cloud governance, engineering, architecture and networking controls and practices. In addition, you will provide recommendations to teams regarding ways to safeguard Capital One's Information Assets by contributing to the identification, analysis, solutioning of new or emerging cyber-based threats impacting our cloud environments. You believe that a core component of security's role is to enable the business, not just to secure it, and the solutions you bring to life are aligned to the needs of our developer community and business partners. You feel at home in the cloud and are an expert in delivering cloud-native security solutions. In This Role You Will: Assess and make recommendations related to the use and security of cloud services and technologies Assist in defining and prioritizing work, gathering requirements, design, developing, implementing, and supporting new or existing security stacks. Work as an integral part of an agile team to research, plan, and produce analytical solutions meeting the needs of multiple personas, for the evolving needs of the enterprise. Be comfortable working within a fast paced, fast changing environment while driving teams to complete goals; have the ability to break abstract goals into accomplishable, measurable work items. Proactively identify new projects to improve security posture, lead project teams, identify, and work with relevant stakeholders to drive these projects to completion. Maximize the value of work being delivered, balancing the priorities of Product Management and Engineering while partnering with Agile Delivery Lead to maintain backlog flow and identify team constraints. Ensure stories are complete with acceptance criteria and prioritized appropriately. Coordinate dependencies with other Product, Agile and Engineering Leads. Prioritize, negotiate and remove impediments from the team. Collaborate and work closely with internal partners across multiple teams. You will be fostering relationships with coworkers across the company to support their efforts while delivering products. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 6 years of software delivery experience At least 5 years of experience in Cyber Security At least 3 years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Compute Platform Preferred Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or Engineering 2+ years of experience delivering cloud security solutions 4+ years of experience in agile delivery AWS solutions architect or developer certification CISSP, CSCP, or equivalent certifications At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
