Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP's strategic business units.
Summary

Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to receive business requirements and identify solutions that meet business needs while providing an optimal User Experience. Creates, manages, and communicates product strategies, roadmaps, and specifications. Translate requirements into user stories that are prioritized and assigned to a sprint cycle. Serves as the primary contact person across the organization and externally to help execute shared digital initiatives tied to dashboard goals. Responsible for initiating and vetting product ideas against revenue and engagement
Responsibilities

Reports to the Director of Product and Design, and includes the following responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular user/member research sessions and incorporate feedback into digital experience
  2. Conducts Market Scan and Competitive research
  3. Lead requirements gathering effort on the defined product and translates requirements into user stories that are prioritized and assigned to a sprint cycle
  4. Develop product strategy with input from the pod to feed into the long term digital execution roadmap
  5. Prioritize requests across the pod to align with enterprise priorities
  6. Provide thought leadership for new features and product development
  7. Responsible for operational health of the product, including continual monitoring of performance
  8. Defines vision of what is to be built and conveys the vision to the pod based on KPIs and goals
  9. Defines experience changes with the UX/Design
  10. Collaborates across teams during the discovery phase to assess value, usability and feasibility of product concept and experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 or more years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.
  • Experience as a program/product manager with project management sensibilities
  • Familiarity working in a digital membership space for established brands
  • Interest understanding and building experiences based on 50+ audience digital research trends
  • Knowledge in product areas including strategy, requirements, UX design, development, and QA
  • Passionate about usability and working on user flows on both web and mobile devices
  • Ability to build consensus by pivoting between a facilitator role and making recommendations across teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, visual/presentation and interpersonal communications skills
