Need: Board certified adult psychiatrist to provide inpatient services at our 137-bed unit located in Rockville Maryland. We currently offer IP and OP services to children, adolescents, adults and the geriatric population. Join at team of 9 psychiatrists.

Essential Functions:
In patient coverage for 15 patients per day for patients in the severe and persistent mental illness unit. Call coverage

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
• Excellent written and verbal skills required
• Excellent skills in maintaining information as highly confidential required
• Skilled in clinical documentation review and quality assurance measures.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills required
• Experience working with an electronic medical record preferred

Work Schedule:

Weekday call may be either 8 am to 5 pm, or 5 pm to 8 am

Weekend call starts on Friday 5 pm and extends to Monday 8 am

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue.
