Job Details
A renowned educational institution in Washington, DC is seeking a Marketing Communications Associate for a 5+ month contract opportunity. There's a very good chance this position will turn permanent, but there is no guarantee.
Marketing Communications Associate Responsibilities:
- Manages marketing and communications projects to support all facets of the department.
- Executes communications strategies designed to cultivate, engage, and generate support from the more than 290,000 customers around the world.
- Serves as project manager on development of print and online collateral.
- Develops project plans with proposed timelines, costs, and measurements.
- Tracks projects with clients and defines problem areas and solutions.
- Supports content creation efforts through writing, editing, visual asset management, and management of design projects
- Liaises with designers and digital team to manage projects from concept to completion. Prepares project analysis for debrief with internal partners.
- Updates web content and landing pages with approved graphics to enhance the user experience.
- Learns about capabilities of the team and systems and advises partners on best communication channels and calls to action for engagement and fundraising.
- Strong writing, editorial, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to testing and quality assurance.
- Project management experience.
- An eye for good design and user experience.
- Ability to optimize images and utilize file transfer protocol.
- Functional and existing knowledge using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience working with CRMs and marketing cloud systems, modern email marketing tools, and content management systems.
- Ability to analyze data, concisely report results, and make informed recommendations based on data.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- A genuine curiosity to learn new systems.
