Job Description

Arc is a rapidly growing new business within The Washington Post. We're adding a significant number of new customers each month, and in the role of Program Manager you will help us to scale the capacity of the team and ensure that we meet our commitments to clients. This is a growing team, and in many ways we operate as a small startup within the larger company - the team often shares responsibilities for tasks that sometimes exceed our job descriptions, and often forces us to learn something new.

The Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) responsibilities are a highly visible role within the growth of the Arc product offerings include owning and cultivating assigned clients' relationships during the implementation phase and throughout the ongoing relationship. The TDM utilizes his/her background in product development, technical consultancy, project management and delivery to design and implement technical strategies that align with clients' objectives. He/she must possess initiative to produce improvements both internally and with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Development and presentation of the Statement of Work (SOW) content, including work being performed, milestones, epics and timeline
  • Leads day-to-day delivery outsourced solutions to clients
  • Product owner for the client engagement. They own execution of the roadmap i.e., the timeline and the deliverable specified in the SoW. In order to perform the work, they will need to work with the client to gather requirements, and write user stories against the SoW milestones/epics that are ready to be estimated and broken down into technical tasks by the engineering team.
  • Manage product teams including both internal and external resources in the design, development and delivery of client deliverable in accordance with the SOW
  • Establish relationships with key client personnel and deliver timely, high quality service to the client
  • Ensure clear team communications about the product roadmap to all professional services staff assigned to the SOW
  • Ensure client satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness, client engagement and thorough communication
  • Ensures continuous and effective services are provided and product delivery completion is within budget and in accordance with contract requirements
  • Conducts initial acceptance testing of the deliverable produced by the professional services team
  • Presents engagement (phase) results to clients
  • Understands and can manage organizational resources, priorities, business objectives and policies; in a matrix environment, to meet engagement deadlines and goals
  • Share subject matter expertise with key stakeholders to elevate the Arc product capabilities to deliver solutions for clients
  • Selects, tailors and applies formal methodologies, approaches, frameworks, tools and techniques to analyze client requirements, develop hypotheses, and draws conclusions/recommend solutions


Job Requirements:
  • Product and project management experience with integration programs and technologies (e.g., services-oriented architecture, enterprise service business, cloud integration platform and API-management platform)
  • Bachelor degree required; PMP certification a plus
  • 5-10 years as an IT professional in an enterprise with multiple customer business units, and increasing levels of responsibility in a variety of roles Comprehensive practical experience in ServiceNow configuration, enhancement, and application development
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and passionate about creating an outstanding user experience
  • Successfully implemented domain separation and complex security models
  • Strong data analytics abilities to support performance measurement and decision making
  • Past management responsibility to operate and sustain an enterprise Service Management platform
  • Extensive skills in data acquisition and integration
  • This position may involves traveling up to 50%
  • Strong organizational, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization
  • Strong oral and written communication, and presentation skills
