Job Description:The Manager is responsible for the performance of the entire store and MUST follow all MNP operating systems to ensure the highest standards of customer service, animal husbandry, and sales performance. Understanding the store's procedures and daily operations is necessary.Job Requirements:Must have at least one year of management experience, retail preferredStrong Communication skills, both oral and written with a terrific attitudeAbility to follow operating systems and directions from supervisors.Flexibility and stamina to work retail hours including evenings and weekends many times on your feet for the better part of the dayAbility to lead and develop a team of employees.Must be able to repetitively lift 40 lbs comfortably.Have strong administrative skillsYou exercise good judgment and impartiality in your decisionsYou are not afraid to make timely decisions (even bad ones)You look ahead to solve problems before they become problems and be as resourceful as possibleYou are known for being firm with your team - but also empathetic, consistent and fairYou love meeting new peopleYou tend to put the needs of others before your own needsYou have excellent listening and direction-following skillsBachelor's degree preferredMust have good references from previous bossesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must have the ability to Teach, Educate, Influence, Persuade, Motivate and Develop staff.Must have a commanding presence while on sales floor in order to constantly direct employees toward customer interaction.Must uphold highest standard of appearance and professionalism at all times! Not only practicing good hygiene and presentation of MNP uniform with one's self, but with all staff members.Must maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude ensuring a positive culture through sales performance and community relationships.Maintain high level of store cleanliness through staff, particularly the sales floor and customer-facing kennel areas.Ensure that all pet health is monitored daily and reported to leadership.Report issues/malfunctions including but not limited to air filters, disinfecting tub, sprayers, etc Perform any/all other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.Reports and Sales:Complete reports and paperwork in order to properly analyze daily operations.Ensure the MNP sales goals are being executed on a daily basis.Ensure the completion of register count and end of day procedures.Maintain a well-merchandised store through staff.Use the Point of Sale system for accurate inventories and for proper and effective ordering.Process the orders quickly and accurately.Negotiate and have relationships with vendorsCommunicate all pertinent information to Leadership team.$31,500-$40,00 PLUS commission and/or metrics plan
