Sparks Group has teamed up with a veteran owned business to search for a qualified and professional Advisory Consultant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Federal agencies. The veteran owned business provides consulting services to government agencies, is looking for a candidate with auditing and PP&E experience who is familiar with accounting standards that govern asset valuation. They will exercise independent thinking skills by making decisions for problem solving, risk assessment, quality control, and data evaluation. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategies for performing and achieving clean audit
- Prepare corrective action plans in case of any PP&E related findings
- Provide guidance and assistance to audit related responsibilities and perform tasks according to the Federal and local laws
- Perform PP&E Audit readiness to sustain and improve financial, operational and systemic business processes
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to review and implement business process improvements
- Perform risk assessment and develop status reports to keep stakeholders informed about the progress, changes and improvements
- Perform ad-docs tasks as and when required
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required
- Master's degree and/or advanced professional certifications preferred
- Active Clearance required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Federal government setting and agencies
- Experience as a consultant performing internal controls/compliance audits is a plus
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of accounting and auditing practices and readiness
