Location: Arlington VA Duration: 6 months Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications: Job Overview Systems Platform Engineering Service Delivery is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for the analysis, design build and support of Customer application infrastructure framework Systems Platform Service Delivery team is looking for a Consultant in the discipline of analyzing, designing, building and supporting Azure application runtime environment infrastructure to be deployed in Azure environments in Customer infrastructure. Major Accountabilities: * Generating requirements, together with other architects, engineers, application teams and users, to deploy Customer applications to Azure. * Generating all documentation to describe and support applications deployed in Azure environment. Documentation includes network diagrams, technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep the users, architects and the support engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the application, system or platform as it is deployed and evolves. * Ensuring that all architectural products are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete. * Resolve Azure architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally. * Research and evaluate how to deploy Azure applications in Customer's internal internet infrastructure so that they adhere to Customer infrastructure and security framework. * Assume the role of Azure Tech lead and has total accountability for Customer's Azure deployed applications, including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. Preferred knowledge and experience: * Expert knowledge and understanding of designing and building Azure runtime environment infrastructure * Hands on experience of building Azure runtime infrastructure in public or private environments. * Expert knowledge and understanding of network, operating system principles and web middle-ware. * Expert knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design. * Must be high-energy, proactive, detail-oriented and able to function under pressure in an independent environment. * Must have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to drive results. * Strong communication skills both verbal and written and strong relationship and collaborative skills and organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team. * Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities is critical.
