Cogent Strategies, a fast-growing, boutique, bi-partisan strategic communications, digital advocacy and government relations firm is seeking to hire a digital strategist to support the firm's collaborative team and diverse client roster. Cogent is looking for a go-getter with a can-do, proactive mindset who is always looking for ways to improve our output as well as that of our clients. The ideal candidate should have previous experience with digital marketing, advertising, branding and design, political campaigns and/or public affairs projects. Candidates should possess an understanding of data-driven strategies, knowledge of online/social conversation analysis and a creative eye for design and content. A sense of humor, entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail are also important. Highlights of the job are as follows: Craft and execute digital and brand strategies for Cogent and Cogent clients. Attend client and account team meetings, presents findings, gather information for projects and create presentations. Develop ideas and tactics for social media and brand strategies, including content calendars, best practices and analysis. Use data and analytics to inform and refine client strategies. Author social media and online content, including cross-channel copy and ideas for accompanying images/media. Manage digital advertising campaigns. Maintain client websites and other online properties. Support the firm's business development process with digital insights, maintain the website and email program, and work on Cogent's collateral and creative design. Individuals interested in applying for the Digital Strategist position should excel at the following: Capacity to execute campaigns on behalf of clients including messaging and collateral development, advertising/paid media and social media, and reporting. Understanding of client's business, political and competitive landscape. Skilled at understanding all social media platforms and relevant online platforms. Demonstrates social fluency and a basic understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across all online channels. Proficient in conducting research to inform strategic direction, messaging and tactics. Ability to assist with analysis of traditional media, legislative analytics and online conversations Provide campaign performance reporting and analysis internally and for clients, working with Google Analytics, social media analytics, and social media listening tools Ability to develop design assets ranging from infographics, social media imagery, one-pagers and other client and firm collateral Adept to lead all aspects of project activities including reporting, tracking and measurement of project hours Experience with content tools such as WordPress or a similar system; experience with analytics or publishing tools such as Tableau, Google Analytics, buffer or Hootsuite REQUIREMENTS . Bachelor's degree . 2-4 years of full-time experience in digital marketing, branding or advertising (digital experience required) . Professional knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) . Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite . Excellent communication skills, both internal and client-facing PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION . Prior firm/agency, marketing, Hill or campaign experience and/or internship .
