POSITION SUMMARY -Federal Account Manager We are looking for a Federal Account Manager providing Federal Business Development with 4-7 years of Federal technology sales experience, solutions selling, and professional services capture experience. You will be responsible for creating demand, building qualified opportunity pipeline, forecasting and closing bookings to generate revenue as per your assigned plan. You will be responsible for applying a thorough understanding of our contracting vehicles, existing contracts, diversity status, products and service offerings. We are looking for a disciplined Federal Sales Account Manager that understands sales methodology, processes, and prospecting techniques in developing business within the Federal Government. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES New account acquisition, including prospecting, independently following up on inbound leads, qualifying solicitations, building teams, establishing subcontracting opportunities, customer meetings and presentations, selling, negotiation and closing opportunities. Develop strategic prospecting plans for expanding the federal business and generating revenue for IMRI including plans for utilizing existing contracting vehicles, securing other vehicles, teaming partnerships, and working with IMRI Project Managers and Site Leads. Demonstrate strong qualification skills to provide accurate sales and revenue forecast reports to management on opportunities as required. Excellent presentation skills for in-person or web based meetings. Apply experience in navigating through sales cycle to drive deals to closure, identifying key decision makers, and business drivers. Apply thorough knowledge of all IMRI's capabilities to address customers business requirements. Demonstrate ability to represent IMRI within all levels within a federal agency. Demonstrated ability to research and use the internet to retrieve information to assist in developing knowledge that will lead to successful prospecting. Attend networking meetings and luncheons with industry, government associations, and organizations. Attend industry days for business opportunities. Ability to make cold calls to SBA advocates, agency managers, contracting officers, and potential companies for subcontracting and partnering opportunities. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience in business development in technology. 4-7 years sales or equivalent experience in a federal government selling technical services. Proven record of success with working in business development for the federal government. Demonstrated record of success communicating effectively via telephone and email with customers and successful track record of meeting and/or exceeding quota. Analytical and creative approach to problem solving. Ability to prioritize while multi-tasking projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Internet. Proficiency with using an opportunity management systems, preferably Deltek Govwin and Pipeline deals. Demonstrated ability to work without supervision remotely from the corporate office and lead by example and work collaboratively with Management. Have a positive "can do" attitude, be open to new ideas, and ability to think "outside of the box." We offer an excellent compensation package that includes a base salary range from $75,000-$90,000 plus an attractive Commission plan.
